Explaining AI Photography

Introduction:

AI has been the buzzword of this modern world for quite a long time. When we generally speak about the modern technologies like “AI”,”Bots”.The thing that generally come over in our mind is Talking and Walking like ROBOTS. But in simple concept if we speak out about AI(Artificial Intelligence) then it is just imparting intelligence like humans in that specific device.
And in those group of devices one of the most important are the cameras. Cameras are something which not captures images, rather it is more than that,it captured memories for you and for your closed and dear people. So in that case it is very much important to make this type of device more intelligent, to enable it to perform more properly and efficiently.

And in today’s world we have already started using AI for photography. And in a very commonly used cameras! Can you guess it? Yeah! It is none other than our smartphone cameras without even knowing it.Now photography is no longer a camera, lens and a sensor rather it is a collection of algorithms that immediately manipulates images to produce superior photography results which previously would have required hours and days to be created with any type of software tools.AI has been converting photography into a computational process.

Some recent researches and Development:

Drawing Bot:

Microsoft has already developed an artist out of AI called “Drawing Bot”. The bot can create images from written description the images. This bot can also sum out some details to the images that has not been mentioned like dark spots, earlobes, age lines etc. This shows that,”This type of AI has already been developed which can think of its own which is not only intelligent guessing but also matches up with the true subject”. Not it makes me think that the day will come when we will just have to order the camera to give out the photo of mine sitting with my best friend and it will produce it in no time.

GANS:

Generative Adversarial Networks are also considered as the GANS are extensive neural net architectures composed of two nets, lying against one another. GANS has a huge potential in photography and other fields as it can easily learn anything provided to it .GANS in the fields of photography can be used to transform just a painting to marvelous real looking images.

Voice activated Cameras:

To understand human voice is the most important and interesting form of AI, and its been creeping into cameras for last few years. It is usually done with the help of renowned voice assistant like Amazon Alexa, OK Google , Apple Siri. Where everything from capturing of Image to White Balance Adjustment could be done with voice command.

AI Software:

AI can be implied on the basis new kinds of softwares that are recently developed and are used in making up of smartphone camera softwares. The main advantages of using this type of software is that inspite of not having that high quality functional lenses it could produce high quality results with advanced features like depth sensing, high quality digital zooms and producing extra ordinary high quality low light photos(night sight in Google Pixel-3).AI software mainly focuses on producing extra ordinary quality of photos inspite of lacking optics and all.

AI on DSLRS:

Automatic red-eye removal has been in DSLR cameras for years, as has face detection and, lately even smile detection, whereby a selfie is automatically taken when the subject cracks a grin. But no such modernization have yet been spotted on DSLR.

But as our waiting continues, a “smart-camera assistant” accessory called ARSENAL have make its way into the market. This specific device uses machine learning while remaining mounted on the hot shoe to use and imply several algorithms for capturing a perfectly balanced shot.It actually works on “past-experience principal”. It compares the present shot with thousands of previous shots, and thereby uses image recognition to recognize a specific subject and applying the correct settings.

Conclusion:Who is AI Photography for?

AI photography is for everyone from beginners to advanced. For advanced it is about just improving their photography skills without doing any extra hard works. And for advanced it is just about imparting the extra zeal to photographs which makes it more lively and appealing, to the viewers.
But as you all know nothing is intelligent than human being and no lens is efficient than human eye. And so does the whole camera. The real essence of artistry and presence of mind is actually shown by us in the real field of photography.
